Photographers call sunset time the golden hour; the time when the light is so perfect, it makes your perfect dress, your perfect husband, and your perfect setting look its most magical. It’s more powerful than photoshop, it’s nature’s filter.
Golden hour definitely casts a magical glow onto everything, but I find weddings to be so magical, that golden moments can be found occurring throughout the day and night, both indoors and out.
You’ve certainly witnessed these magical wedding moments; touched by beauty, emotion, importance...and perhaps just the right light. If you’ve ever been present at the marriage of someone special to you, or have been the bride or groom, then you are likely lucky to have experienced that magic intimately. But a great wedding creates intimacy for everyone involved. Even the wedding coordinator.
And a great photographer (and videographer) will capture that magic so that long after the white dress has been dry-cleaned (or lies crumpled at the bottom of your closet), and after the thank you cards have been mailed, you feel taken back to all of those golden moments.
