Hannah and Sky are sweet in the most sincere way; the kind of way that everyone wants to be around and wants more of. They attract.
This summer wedding weekend kicked off at the ceremony rehearsal. As close family and friends trickled up to the site outside the High Lonesome Lodge at Devil's Thumb Ranch, I chatted with the officiant, Jim Candy. If you live in the Boulder area, you may know Jim from First Pres and now Ascent Community Church. I did not know him before, but I know now that he is fantastic! He too has a presence you want to surround yourself with. We began the rehearsal by circling up, Jim led us in a simple prayer for the bride and groom, and then a go-around introducing ourselves and our relationship to the bride. When it was Sky's turn, he naturally pulled his trump card and said with a beaming smile, "I get to marry her, I win."
Some sweet details from the wedding day: Sky had decanters and zippos engraved for his groomsmen, as well as a day of fun planned for them leading up to the wedding; Hannah's sister sang and played guitar at the ceremony; at each table setting, guests were gifted a jar of honey harvested by Hannah's mother, a beekeeper. What could be sweeter than that?
Hannah & Sky attracted some sweet vendors too: Shamane's Bake Shoppe, Front Range Strings, DJ Maestro, Thorn Creek Flowers, Hair by Jill Leitz, Makeup by Captivate Beauty, Rising Moon Films, Little White Dress Bridal, Event Lighting Rental. For these black and white beauties (and a few color;) I have Doug Treiber Photography to thank!
